Universal funding for 3- 4 year olds
The 15 hours universal funding is available to ALL 3 and 4 year olds a term after the child’s 3rd birthday. We just ask parents to complete a parental agreement form which we provide and need to see your child’s birth certificate or passport for proof of birth.
Tax- free childcare
Tax-Free Childcare is a Government-backed scheme which helps parents with the cost of childcare. The scheme, which launched in April this year, gives eligible families an extra 20% towards childcare costs. Mini Mes Nursery is now registered as a Tax-free childcare provider so once you have set up with this scheme, please pass on the code that you will receive to a member of staff at Mini Mes. The link below has more information about this new tax-free childcare and has the link for you to get up with the scheme. www.childcarechoices.gov.uk.
Extended entitlement funding
This is an additional 15 hours funding on top of the universal 15 hours. If you, and any partner, each expect to earn (on average) at least £120 a week (equal to 16 hours at the National Minimum or Living Wage). If you, or your partner, are on maternity, paternity or adoption leave, or you're unable to work because you are disabled or have caring responsibilities, you could still be eligible. To apply for the additional 15 hours on top of the universal 15 hours, then it’s the parent’s responsibility to make the claim through HMRC which will then give you a voucher code to pass onto Mini Me's Nursery childcare. https://childcare-support.tax.service.gov.uk/moreinfopar/2/…
The guidance from the HMRC indicates registration for the entitlement should take place at least 16 weeks before your child’s 3rd birthday and you will need to reapply every 3 months.
This funding is available for families which are on one of the following: •Income Support •income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA) •income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) •Universal Credit •tax credits and you have an annual income of under £16,190 before tax •the guaranteed element of State Pension Credit •support through part 6 of the Immigration and Asylum Act Childcare Choices from GOV.UK
